Second Edition (2002): Expanded the theoretical underpinnings and applied MI to a broader range of behaviors beyond addiction treatment.
Third Edition (2012): Refined the core skills and processes of MI, incorporating the four fundamental processes: engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning.
